As shown under “SOURCES/ISAR”, there was a design competition in 2000 to renaturalise the Isar.

 

We are currently in the process of counting down to the submission of our contribution. What is special about our approach is that we are working on a method to design like a beaver’s contractor. This means, we are searching for ways to bring beaver’s skills and needs into the development of the river and we believe that this will truly lead to a renaturalisation, in the sense of humans as a part of nature and not as a designer of it.

Exemplary, we are looking at the 8km stripe, the competition was dealing with but our aim is to design a module, that can be applied anywhere.
